I went to chawri bazaar today to buy some books for my competitive examinations(coz books are available at a lesser price), On my way home I lost my way, eventually and unfortunately my phone's battery was also finished. I asked a passer by about the directions and he pointed out a very narrow lane and said go into it,walk straight and you'll reach a metro station. I started walking in that lane, and on my way further I found a lady injecting something into her nerves, I took a look at her hands, her veins had turned black, her face turned pale, her feet became black too. I asked what're you doing, she replied "I'm enjoying my life, probably what's left of it".
She has been taking drugs since 2 years,
has been divorced(her husband left because of her drug habits),
she also had 2 miscarriages.
She doesn't even remember her parents and now steals cycles, money, does pick-pocketing to support her drug habits.
She has lost her thinking capacity and now her life's primary objective is to keep injecting drugs into her nerves.
She says,
"One injection and I forget all my pains, all my fear"
You can never even imagine what drugs are capable off, for some people it's just a way to earn money, but for drug addicts it's everything.
There are many children on the streets whose parents are daily-wage workers or masons taking drugs at the age of 9.
As a kid of 17 years, I've tried a lot to make a change but it just doesn't help.
Parents ask who're the people to be blamed for making our children's life hell, the answer is you yourself "dear mom and dad", who used to flood their wallets with money always and not even talk to their children for 5 minutes in a day, ask him/her about what's happening in your life, etc.
When parents realise what they did,
It's probably too late.
It's probably too late.
